Sign up now for the official West-Coast Free Agent Tryouts for three Canadian Football League teams hosted by the California Sports Institute.
Showcase your football skills to THREE Canadian Football League teams at this unique three-day camp where each CFL team will have their coaching and scouting staff in attendance. In the past two seasons we have had GMs, scouts and player personnel from the Saskatchewan Roughriders, Winnipeg Blue Bombers, Calgary Stampeders and Toronto Argonauts in attendance. Last year, 12 players from this camp moved on in the scouting process with the various CFL teams, receiving invites to mini-camp and main camp!
This is also a padded combine, and all attending players are required to wear helmets and shoulder pads.
Spots are limited! Sign up now and pay only $200 to have a chance to tryout for THREE CFL teams at one camp.

Players are required to bring their own helmet & shoulder pads to participate.
All timed tests will be measured with electronic timing. All players should be aware that since the CFL is a speed game, in order to ensure an absolute minimum of athleticism there will be an automatic cut-down of players who run slower than the following maximal allowable time in the 40 yd. sprint test:
D.B. and Rec.: 4.75 seconds
L.B. and R.B.: 4.85 seconds
If you are cut, your payment will not be refunded. No exceptions.
Kickers will be graded for field goal and kick-off abilities.
Punters will be graded for length, hangtime, and placement.
Note: Field goal kickers in the CFL are allowed to use an official tee.
Structure – Days 2 & 3:
All Players, Padded Practices:
March 31-April 1/2018 : Skills Practices
One of the biggest complaints football players consistently make about FA-tryouts is that they do not get enough opportunities to show their actual playing skills and especially they do not get to do so while wearing pads thus removing the vital element of physicality from their tryout. In this FA camp you will get ample opportunity to show playing skills and doing so while wearing pads!… On Day 2 & 3 all players will go through full positional drills practices, wearing helmets and shoulder pads under the instruction of Canadian football-experienced coaches. (This is done so the professional coaching staffs and scouts of the attending CFL teams can fully engage in watching and evaluating all the players).
As this is a serious professional FA-tryout, all events are closed to the public. Only participating players, CSI staff and the staffs of the attending CFL teams will be allowed entrance to either the California Sports Institute facility or the practice field venue. No exceptions. Participating players are encouraged to bring with them 3 data sticks with game film on them. (We strongly suggest that you only put continuous games or halves on the tape and strongly discourage you to put personal highlight packages on the data sticks). Players are required to provide for their own room and board and transportation. It is also the responsibility of the players to bring their own source of hydration. Players will be required to stay above-the- waist on all contact and there will be no live tackling in any drill. Tackling or intentionally hitting an opponent below the waste will result in immediate removal from the camp and your participation fee will not be refunded.
